WebGUI
WebGUI is more than only a standard content management system. We rather call it an 'application framework', since not only the text on your website can be kept update, but the system allows to do a lot more.
CMS
A content management system or CMS gives you the opportunity to make changes to the website in your browser. No in-depth knowledge of HTML, FTP or other computer languages is needed to do this. The content can be easily inserted with the use of an editor in the browser. 'What you see is what you get'.
Application framework
WebGUI provides for a base to make a webapplication in a quick, easy and cheap way. An example of a webapplication is a product database, from which clients can search for desired products. Using WebGUI several webapplications can be integrated in your website

Next to that, WebGUI ensures changes to your website are not visible for the rest of the world unless you choose to. This way your entire website can be reconstructed while visitors are still able to visit the current website. When you are finished with the new version, this new content is shown with one click.
A workflow system which can be configured is provided under WebGUI. This workflow system enables for example the approval of new content by the management. You can decide for yourself in how many steps this has to be done.
Because WebGUI is open source, building your site will not cost you lots of money. You will be able to add fast and easy text, files or interactive components to your site. Just as easy they are removed again. This way keeping your website up to date will take less time. Do you like to expand your website with new features, then we can arrange this quickly due to reusal of open source software.
WebGUI is being developed by the American company Plainback. The people behind Oqapi have been working for years with Webgui and help enthusiastically to develop the core of the program. This means new functionalities for WebGUI are added from time to time by our own people. This is not only nice for our own company, it is also very handy for our clients and all other WebGUI users.
